Found Southend Auto Care due to a recommendation from our auto warranty company. I was running late to get to them before they closed and was perfectly content with leaving my car in their parking lot and dropping the keys in their night drop. My wife was waiting there for me so I had a ride home. I got their 15 minutes after their scheduled closing time and Sam was waiting for me so he could put my car in their garage to keep it safe. They quickly fixed my check engine light issues and got me my car back in a couple of days. Top notch customer service!

I have been to Southend Auto Care for an oil change and my 100,000 mile service. I also got new tires at Costco and they suggested I get an alignment, so I took it to South End Auto to see if an alignment was needed and to check the struts and shocks. I think they were honest and told me when things didn't need to be replaced that other shops said I needed to replace (struts and shocks). They also replaced my transmission recently. We were on the way home from Mt. Rainier when it went out, so we had the car towed to South End Auto for them to look at it. They gave me the prices to rebuild, and replace the transmission with a new and used one so I could compare the costs. I called around to get quotes from other places as well for the transmission to make sure we were getting the best price because we are on one income. Since I have worked worked with South End Auto several times, I preferred to take it there, but needed to save money so they worked with me to make the price they gave me closer to the competitors. The one thing that made South End Auto stand out from the others and my decision to choose them to replace my transmission, is that they offered a 2 year warranty on all of their work along with the 3 year warranty on the transmission. They also gave me a free loaner to use during this time. I also needed my cooler hoses replaced because of a leak, when the parts came in and were damaged, they called to let me know that they would have to reorder the part and keep the car a little longer, but they gave me a discount because of the extra time they needed to keep our van. I am very happy with the quality of service they provided and that they have been honest, even when it meant recommending another shop for an alignment because it would save me money. We are a one income family, because I homeschool my special needs son and money is extremely tight, so I appreciate their honesty and that they worked to help me save money on the cost of the transmission replacement. I would definitely recommend them! I currently live in Puyallup and drove out of the way initially the first time I took my car there, even though there are closer repair shops, because they had good reviews. I always try to read reviews for places when it is something important like this. I will continue to drive because of the good and honest service I have received.

I experience a check engine light on my Ford 2010 hybrid. The error on the dash and with a OBD code reader pointed to an error in the hybrid drive system. The problem was intermittent. I could clear the code and the car would work for a day or a few weeks, but then would refuse to start. I took the car to two Ford dealerships who could not locate the problem and charge me $185+ each for diagnostic work without a solution. I had my car towed to Southend Auto when the issue came up again. Their technician figured out that the main battery, not the hybrid battery was dead ( less than 8 volts!). Why two dealerships could not figure this out, or why the car didn't give an error code for low battery voltage is beyond comprehension. In short, Mark, Scott and the team diagnosed the problem and fixed a very vexing problem. They also did the 60K service on the Ford and it's running better than anytime I have owned this vehicle. Future service on this Ford will be done here, and not at a dealer!

We've taken three vehicles to Southend in the past several months and they have been incredibly helpful and fast every time. They fixed a leaky seal on our van when the dealership wasn't able to prioritize it as a warranty repair. They replaced a battery quickly on our primary car so we didn't have to worry about trying to do it ourselves at a stressful time. They also troubleshot and corrected a crimped gasket that led to a musty interior. As part of their incredible service delivery, they even polished my 2008 headlight covers so they look like new again to improve visibility after adjusting a loose wire. My mom is on her way back there now because when our car door suddenly decided it doesn't want to open anymore (not something they've worked on yet), Sam told her they can take care of us again today so the car is safe to drive. We really can't say enough good things about the service and staff at Southend.
