John took the time to explain items that mechanics found during a free but thorough diagnostic evaluation and stated possible outcomes if not repaired. He also ranked them in terms of priority and urgency. Phone calls were made to keep me apprised of the findings and status of repair. Presented with the options, I was able to make an informed decision on what repairs to make. Mike was also very helpful in shuttling me to work while car was in the shop. You can expect great service, timely communication and fair pricing when your car is serviced at this shop.

Very friendly, super helpful, and honest. We are never prepared for our cars to break down. Mine broke down on one of my busiest days of course, I was able to use a loaner car from Southend Auto and he even helped me unpack my car and load into the loaner car. I was able to get all my stuff done for work AND they had my car done the same day!

I noticed on each of the last 3 oil changes that the interval had changed from 5,000 to 4,000 and now it's 3,000 on the synthetic blend. I asked John and he said they had "recomputed" the interval, but I could go for longer if needed. Everything I've read online says at least a 5,000 mile interval or more. Hmmmm???? In the past, I was impressed when they replaced a wheel bearing and their price was considerably less than the Ford dealer.

My car broke down on I-5 not far from the Southend Auto Care shop so I had it towed there out of convenience, though I live in Seattle. They were incredibly friendly, helpful and understanding. They offered me a loaner car for a very minimal fee. They came to the conclusion that my engine was most likely dead. They said that they could run some diagnostics on it to find out for sure but, unlike my experience with other shops, they advised against it. They said that it would just be a waste of money. I managed to sell the car to someone who was going to replace the engine (who said that they were right about it being beyond help once he took it apart) and they helped us get it onto the trailer when he came to pick it up. Overall they were just really pleasant to deal with and very accomodating. Though I can't speak to their repair work because I didn't end up needing it, if they are half as good with repairs as they are with customer care and service I would be happy to trust them with my future vehicles.
